A $19.99 impulse buy at the register that people come back and thank you for. Half-inch ferrocerium, hardened striker, 550 paracord and a whistle. 50% margin at every tier, and a minimum order small enough to test on one shelf.
Prices per unit on the Large Ferro Rod & Striker, any mix of Black and OD Green. MSRP $19.99.
Camp name and year on the striker turns a $19.99 tool into the thing a kid keeps from the summer he earned it. Council insignia, unit numbers, a shop logo, an anniversary date. Same rod, same rating, your name on the tool people keep in their pack for a decade.
250 units is one season across a couple of camps, not a gamble. Also popular with guide services, ranges, and corporate gifting.
Plan on 60 to 90 days. Engraved rods are cut to order at the factory, not pulled off our shelf, and that clock starts when you approve the artwork. Get it locked by early February and it is on your shelf for June. We will not quote you a date we cannot hold.
We approve or ask a question within two business days, and you get a price list and a direct line to the founder. No portal, no rep, no minimum annual spend.
Anything not covered here, email info@americansurvivalist.us and you'll get a real answer.
You do on orders under 144 units, billed at exactly what the label costs, shown on the invoice before you approve it. At 144 units and up, ground freight is on us. The rods are light, so a 24-unit case ships cheap.
Before the first order ships, yes. A resale certificate or EIN if you're reselling, or your exemption number if you're a nonprofit, which in Massachusetts is Form ST-2. You do not need it to apply. Corporate and gift buyers who aren't reselling can skip it and we'll charge sales tax instead.
Yes, and the terms bend for you. Purchase orders through your business office, seasonal delivery scheduled to the date you need it on the shelf, and camp name or council insignia engraved at 250 units, which most councils clear across their properties in one season.
Yes. Councils, schools, municipalities, and departments. Send the PO and we invoice your business office directly instead of asking somebody to put a case on a personal card.
Engraved rods: get it locked by early February. They are cut to order at the factory and run 60 to 90 days from artwork approval, so a March order is genuinely tight for a June session and an April order will not make it. Plain Black and OD Green move much faster, and if they're in stock they ship the next business day. Either way, tell us your date up front and we'll tell you straight whether we can hold it.
Not on Amazon, since we run our own listing there and a second seller just splits the buy box. Your own site and most other marketplaces are fine as long as you hold the $17.99 floor.
That's why the opening order is 24 and not 144. Test it on one shelf for a season. We'd rather you reorder than sit on stock, and we'll help with spec cards and a counter display to move the first case.
Not yet. Everything goes out in case quantities to you, and you fulfill. Ask anyway if your volume justifies it and we'll talk.
Not yet. Black and OD Green ship today, Blaze Orange is in production. Flag it in the form and you'll get first allocation when it lands.
If it doesn't move, you're out one case. If it does, you've got a $19.99 repeat item with 50% margin and gift-season legs.
